Sisters by Choice, a vocal group from Minot, performs 1940s music in the format of an old-time radio broadcast. Listeners are taken back in time with tunes like Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Chattanooga Choo-Choo in an uplifting trip down memory lane.

The three "sisters" are Amy Martin, Pam Hopkins and Terri Aldrich together with pianist Virginia Dohms.

The group formed when the members improvised harmonies while at a Minot Area Council of the Arts meeting. Since that time they have performed for Arts in the Parks, senior groups, the Governor's Conference on North Dakota History and the North Dakota State Fair.

When they began to sing together, finding music they loved was easy—finding a name was hard. After many attempts to create a fitting name, they looked at the names of other trios of the 1940s—many were family groups like the Andrews Sisters. Realizing they were "sisters" in their shared faith, their name became Sisters by Choice.

Sisters by Choice are joined by Don Caldwell, a crooner in the style of Bing Crosby, and Robin Auch a witty announcer who keeps the sisters in line.
