Mark Dimond and Friends
Artist Friends are Dimond's Juilliard colleague, Marlene Hoirup. They will perform the Piano 4-Hand arrangement of Ravel's Mother Goose Suite. Jazz virtuoso, Steve Veikley, will perform several jazz standards and will also improvise with bass player Andy Rennick. Terry Aldrich of MACA will lend her beautiful voice to Gershwin and Lauren Meiers will perform arrangements of Lori Line. In the second half the audience will move one block to the American Lutheran Church where Mark and Steve will perform Persichetti's The Hollow Men for trumpet and organ. Velda Glick, organist and pianist, will perform several hymn settings by the English organist, Heally Willan.
