
Yes, they DO make music like they used to. J-M-B Band recreates those good old North Dakota Saturday nights with polkas, schottisches, country western and old standards for listening and dancing.
The three band members are Myron Dammen, guitar, retired Minot State University professor; Jerry Schlag, accordion, retired civil service worker; Bud Witty, bass, is orginally from the Columbus, ND, area.
All three have been inducted into the Dakota Music Hall of Fame.
Besides their frequent live performances, the Minot group has recorded two CDs, Music Memories of North Dakota and North Dakota Saturday Night.
The band's CDs are available locally at Dakota Drug in Stanley, Country Store in Powers Lake, J Company Drug in Crosby, plus three locations in Minot: Home Sweet Home, Homesteaders Restaurant, Jacobsen Music, and the Minot Convention and Visitors Bureau.
There is a suggested donation of $5 at the door.
