Bob Jensen presents 'Mostly Sinatra'
Bob Jensen grew up in Stanley, the son of Andy and Mary Jensen. After graduating from Stanley High School, he attended the University of North Dakota and Pacific University where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1957. He practiced in Seattle and Bothell Washington for the next 40 years, retiring in 1997.
Dr Bob has always kept music an important part of his life. His introduction to piano was through Sibyl MacDonald, for whom the Sibyl Center was named. For the past 27 years he has been one of the leading soloists in the Snohomish (WA) Variety Show. The Show is produced and directed by a former Rockette, with about 100 cast members, and plays to six sell-out crowds every Mother's Day weekend.
Although Bob has participated in several past programs at the Sibyl Center, this is his first full solo performance. "I am calling the program 'Mostly Sinatra', but will vary it with show tunes from some great musicals of the past. I think of this music as the Music of Our Livesthe music of the 40s, 50s and 60s." There will also be some piano selections.
Bob has also been an integral part in the success of the Sibyl Center. He was one of the founding members and has spent hundreds of hours in volunteer labor getting the Center to the place that it enjoys today.
